2 found dead at the base of seaside cliffs in San Pedro are identified by coroner’s office
The bodies of a man and a woman were discovered Sunday morning at the base of some seaside cliffs in San Pedro, authorities said.
The bodies were found about 10 a.m. on a sandy beach at the foot of a cliff near the 700 block of West Paseo Del Mar, said Officer Toni DePaolo of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The pair were identified as Jacqueline Murcia, 23, of Wilmington and Silvestre Garcia, 24, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office. Garcia’s city of residence was not available.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of death and it’s not clear what injuries Murcia and Garcia suffered.
Homicide detectives are investigating the case, but no foul play is suspected, according to LAPD Officer Mike Lopez.
