Two Long Beach men were arrested Friday after an alleged lab for producing PCP was discovered, officials say.
Authorities responded about 1 a.m. to a home in the 4300 block of Maury Avenue after neighbors reported a strong chemical smell, according to a news release from Long Beach police.
Police say they arrested Edwin Van, 48, and Vernon Thomas, 61, after finding several large drum containers containing PCP in the home.
Both men were taken to a hospital before they were booked so they could be treated for minor chemical exposure, police said.
Van and Thomas are each being held at the Long Beach Jail on $75,000 bail, according to police.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Long Beach police at (562) 570-7221.
