UC Riverside police are searching for a man who reportedly tried multiple times to film women in campus restroom stalls over the last two months.

At least three incidents have been reported this summer in which a man holds a cellphone underneath the stall and tries to record, campus police said in a crime alert.

The man was been reported twice in a women’s restroom near the Olmsted Hall theater, on June 3 and June 28, authorities said. A man also was reported on July 22 in a women’s restroom in the Humanities and Social Sciences Building.

He was wearing black Lacoste shoes and believed to be using a white Samsung or Microsoft phone with sharp edges and no case, authorities said.

Campus police logs also show a report of “surreptitious recording” in a men’s restroom on July 28 at 100 Aberdeen Drive, where the Resident Services office is located.

UC Riverside police are asking anyone who sees suspicious activity in or around women’s restrooms on campus to call (951) 827-5222.
