Reader photo: Tubing

Although there are plenty of things one can do to take a good photo, today’s photographer managed to take an ordinary scene and infuse it with something different and special. Matthew Allard stopped his bike in Venice Beach to photograph this blue VW van but waited long enough to capture a little girl chasing after her rafts that had blown away.

“She walked into the frame and made the shot way more special than it would otherwise have been,” wrote Allard in an email. Allard shot this photo on his iPhone.
