Victim of Hyde Park stabbing identified
A man who was stabbed to death Wednesday night after getting into an argument in the parking lot of a Hyde Park liquor store was identified Thursday.
Otis Hightower, who authorities believe is in his mid-50s, died around 6:20 p.m. near the corner of 54th Street and 4th Avenue, according to authorities. He had been arguing with another man, police said.
Hightower was pronounced dead at the scene.
Since January 2007, at least 135 homicides have been reported with two miles of the crime scene, according to a database by The Times Homicide Report.
