Reader Photo: In the amber of the moment
Photographer David Ingraham says he’s always on the lookout for poetic use of light and shadows. So when he saw how these “shadows were nicely separated, almost in a choreographed sense,” he couldn’t resist snapping a half-dozen photos.
As for the added bonus of capturing a couple of birds mid-flight? Ingraham reveals, “Seagulls at Venice Beach are so ubiquitous that it’s almost a challenge not to get one in your shot! Nevertheless, I think they help complete the composition here.”
