Two Boston park rangers stabbed; suspect arrested
Two Boston park rangers were stabbed Tuesday by a 34-year-old man, police said. One ranger was critically injured.
Bodio Hutchinson was arrested in the attack, a Boston Police Department spokesman said.
One ranger was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital in critical condition, according to the spokesman, while the other was taken to Tufts Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
It was not immediately clear what prompted the stabbing, or if the officers were attempting to arrest Hutchinson.
David Estrada, a Boston Police Department spokesman, told the Los Angeles Times that Hutchinson had been charged with two counts of attempted murder, assault and battery of a public employee, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Calls to the Boston Parks and Recreation Department seeking comment were not immediately returned.
