Letters: ‘Stolen Valor’ again?

Re “Congress again going after military fakes,” Sept. 16
There they go again — members of Congress trying to solve a problem that barely exists. As the American Civil Liberties Union points out, fraud is already illegal, just as Congress should have learned that flag burning is often prosecutable as vandalism.
Why must we continually see the worst in Congress? There’s gridlock on problems desperately begging for resolution, but concerted action on phantom problems proceeds. We deserve better.
