Re “A link to change your life,” Sept. 26

Meghan Daum echoed what Henry David Thoreau expressed more than 150 years ago: “The mass of men live lives of quiet desperation.”

The cornerstone of happiness is a life that celebrates wisdom, virtue, magnanimity, selflessness and the search for truth without ulterior motives. The only love that never grows old is love of honor.
