Join a live video discussion from members of the Los Angeles Times’ political team today at 11 a.m. PDT (2 p.m. EDT) from the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla.

Los Angeles Times Washington columnist Doyle McManus will host a half-hour conversation from the Google+ Hangout Studio at the heart of the convention. He’ll be joined by The Times’ politics editor Cathleen Decker and Top of the Ticket columnist and cartoonist David Horsey.

They’ll be discussing Monday night’s keynote speech by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Ann Romney’s appeal to the convention’s heartstrings, and Wednesday night’s speech by vice presidential nominee Paul D. Ryan.

In addition to Ryan, scheduled for Wednesday night are Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio), former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty joining former presidential candidates John McCain and Mike Huckabee and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

[For the Record, 10:21 a.m. PDT Aug. 29: An earlier version of this online post gave an incorrect schedule for several speakers at the Republican National Convention. In addition to Paul D. Ryan, scheduled for Wednesday night – rather than Thursday, as reported earlier – are Sen. Rob Portman, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Sen. John McCain, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.]
