Ohio stands as the brass ring for both presidential campaign contenders in this year’s election, which has seen this state pounded with ads and retail politics.

For Ohio’s 16th Congressional District, that’s meant nearly $10 million in outside money pouring into the contest between Republican Rep. James B. Renacci and Democrat Rep. Betty S. Sutton. The district recently saw aggressive redistricting by state Republicans attempting to redraw Sutton’s seat out of the U.S. House of Representatives, but the Democrat has put up a spirited fight in a rare race between two sitting House members.
