While spring is in the air: Can Clayton Kershaw win 300 games?

Share

It’s spring, so it’s almost required you get a tad overexcited, dream big, imagine all things good for your favorite little baseball team.

So for those who love the Boys in Blue, here’s one to get those happy feet going like Snoopy in the summer – Clayton Kershaw can win 300 games!

Fox Sports’ Jon Paul Morosi examines Kershaw’s chances of joining the exclusive 300 Club. One player who thinks the left-hander has a solid chance is Greg Maddux, who did win 300 and was briefly Kershaw’s teammate.

Morosi points out Kershaw not only started young and throws in pitcher-friendly Dodger Stadium, but also that he has slightly more wins (47) than Maddux (45) at the same point in his career.

-- Ugh. In an editorial, The Times opines that fans should remember the main goal is for Los Angeles to rid itself of McCourt, owner of the Dodgers, not land baron.

-- And here is Brown on the Arizona Diamondbacks being out to prove last season was no fluke.

-- MLB.com’s Lyle Spencer on Matt Kemp wanting continued improvement.

-- Sorry, Jerry Sands, no spring suspense in left field, either. ESPN/LA’s Tony Jackson writes Mattingly is set on Juan Rivera starting in left.

-- And it’s nothing to do with the Dodgers, but this video of Blue Jays catcher J.P. Arencibia doing his spot-on imitation of ESPN’s Tim Kurkjian is too hilarious not to pass on.
