Video of Vin Scully as Rose Parade grand marshal

Here’s a great video of Vin Scully – like there’s any other kind – showing him on the parade route as the grand marshal of Wednesday’s Rose Parade in Pasadena.

The video, provided by the Dodgers, has Scully being interviewed, his voice-over providing the insight to his big day.

“In all honesty I never dreamt of becoming the grand marshal of the Rose Parade,” Scully said. “I did dream of being a sport announcer, and that worked out.”

Scully described his big day as “exhilarating” and “incredible.”

He said the day was made even more special by having his wife, Sandy, sit next to him as the car went down the route, followed by a pair of cars filled with his grandchildren.

“It’s one of those experiences you can only conjure up in your imagination,” he said.
