Ducks prospect Troy Terry scored three times in the shootout, including the game-winner in the seventh round, to give the U.S. a 4-3 win against Russia in the semifinals of the World Junior Championships on Wednesday in Montreal.

Terry’s game-winning goal came on a backhand in a game that was deemed an instant classic. The clip went viral on Twitter and Terry etched himself in international lore.

“I still can’t believe it,” Terry said in a television interview.

Terry, 19, was chosen by the Ducks in the fifth round of the 2015 draft, 148th overall. He plays for the University of Denver and helped get the Pioneers to the 2016 Frozen Four.
