Cross country: Malibu’s Claudia Lane sets sophomore record in winning state Division 4 title

Capping a season filled with accomplishments, sophomore Claudia Lane of Malibu won the CIF state Division IV girls’ cross country championship on Saturday in Fresno with a record breaking performance.
She won her three-mile race in 16:45, breaking the course record for a sophomore.
Great Oak won state titles in Division I boys and girls.
In Division IV boys, Callum Bolger of San Luis Obispo won in 14:57.4.
In Division V girls, Flintridge Prep won the team title. In Division II, it was Claremont.
