Football: It’s the year of the receiver

Share

College recruiters in need of a gifted receiver will be hanging out in Southern California this fall trying to take away at least one player from an outstanding class.

Theo Howard of Westlake, an Oregon commit, has just about every quality you need to be a top receiver. Ditto for Javon McKinley of Corona Centennial. The Bishop Amat duo of Tyler Vaughns and Trevon Sidney could be the best one-two combination around. Michael Pittman from Oaks Christian is tall, strong and has great hands.

Hawkins is another school with a talented receiving duo in Joseph Lewis and Jalen Hall, both underclassmen. There’s Dylan Crawford at Santa Margarita, Terrell Bynum at Servite, Dymond Lee at Chaminade, Colby Parkinson at Oaks Christian, Osiris St. Brown at Mater Dei, Keyshawn Johnson Jr. at Calabasas, Jared Harrell at St. John Bosco . . .the list goes on and on.
