Bishop Amat grad calls game while his son plays for Mater Dei

It’s going to be quite a challenge for Prime Ticket announcer John Jackson tonight when he works the Bishop Amat-Mater Dei game.
Jackson is a beloved Bishop Amat grad who starred for the Lancers. He always roots for Bishop Amat.
But playing for Mater Dei is his son, John, a sophomore receiver.
“You have to have fun with it,” he said of his challenge ahead.
Jackson said he “loves both sides.”
But something tells me if his son makes a catch, he’s going to get very excited in the booth high above Santa Ana Stadium.
As for what he hopes the final score to be, that’s asking too much.
