Winter baseball begins with Chatsworth-Valencia battle
- Share via
If it’s November, it’s time for winter baseball, and two likely top 25 teams, Chatsworth and Valencia, met on Saturday for a nine-inning game.
Chatsworth came away with a 10-5 victory. Few of the top pitchers from either team pitched, though UCLA-bound Chase Farrell threw a scoreless inning for Valencia.
Tyler Erne had three hits for Valencia and Shane Huey had two doubles. Center fielder Randy Mata led Chatsworth with two doubles and a single.
