Update: The Kings didn’t practice Monday and instead visited the White House (with the MLS’ Galaxy) to be honored for their 2014 Stanley Cup championship. They opened this five-game trip with a 3-1 loss at Boston on Saturday, which dropped their road record to 5-10-6. The Kings remain outside a West playoff spot with 33 games left on their schedule. The Capitals are 1-4-2 in their last seven games and matched a season high Sunday by allowing 40 shots against them in a 4-3 loss to the St. Louis Blues.
