Cleveland activated outfielder Michael Brantley following shoulder surgery and months of recovery. The Indians also put starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco on the disabled list because of a strained left hamstring and said he’ll miss a month to six weeks. Brantley, who finished third in the 2014 AL MVP vote, injured his right shoulder while attempting a diving catch in Minnesota on Sept. 22.

It’s the longest streak by a player on the road against a single opponent since Hall of Famer JoeDuckyMedwick of the St. Louis Cardinals hit in 46 straight games at Brooklyn from 1933-37.
