Up next for the Ducks: Saturday at Winnipeg
When: 4 p.m.
Where: MTS Center.
On the air: TV: KDOC; Radio: 830.
Records: Ducks 9-16-5 before Friday’s game, Jets 14-13-4.
Update: The season of celebration in Winnipeg, where NHL hockey returned this season after a 15-year absence, will shift focus to a certain charismatic right wing. The Ducks’ Teemu Selanne, who started his career with the Jets, will be playing his first game in Winnipeg since Feb. 4, 1996. He was traded to Anaheim three days later. Selanne wore No. 13 in his rookie season with the Jets, having to do so because a teammate, defenseman Randy Carlyle, had No. 8. Carlyle went on to become coach of the Ducks, who fired him Nov. 30.
