Update: This is the fourth meeting this season between these division rivals. The Ducks will be trying to climb into a playoff berth while the Stars will be trying to preserve one. Only one point separates them. The Ducks, behind the goaltending of Dan Ellis, will be going for their third win in a row, riding the crest of Wednesday’s overtime victory against Detroit. The Stars, meanwhile, will be going for their fourth win in a row. Ducks goaltender Jonas Hiller (lightheadedness) did not practice Thursday and is scheduled to see another specialist Friday. Center Saku Koivu skated for 30 minutes before practice and participated in the early stages of practice but remains day to day.
