Up next for the Kings: Saturday vs. Pittsburgh
When: 7:30 p.m.
Where: Staples Center.
On the air: TV: FS West; Radio: 1150.
Records: Kings 6-4-2; Penguins 8-3-3.
Update: Sidney Crosby is getting closer to returning to the lineup, and happens to be with the Penguins on this short Western swing, but he won’t play against the Kings. The hockey world is awaiting his recovery from the concussion that has kept him out since January. The Penguins’ injury list expanded Thursday when defenseman Ben Lovejoy suffered a broken wrist against San Jose. Pittsburgh called up defenseman Robert Bortuzzo from the AHL on Friday. There is a chance center Jordan Staal (leg) could return tonight. For the Kings, goalie Jonathan Quick will make his fifth straight start.
