Update: The Ducks players returned to practice after having Monday off. The coaching staff remained hard at work Monday. “There isn’t many days off, specifically when you’re going through what we’re going through,” Coach Randy Carlyle said. With one victory in the last 11 games, his sleep has been interrupted. “There’s a buzzer that goes off in my brain somewhere around 3 in the morning and it’s always about what’s going on at work and what’s going on with the hockey club,” Carlyle said. Left wing Matt Beleskey cleared waivers Tuesday and remains with the Ducks for now. Ben Maxwell, who was acquired on waivers from the Winnipeg Jets and made his Ducks debut Sunday, will be getting a look on a line centering Nik Hagman and Devante Smith-Pelly. “We’ve experimented and tried other people there, and I don’t think we were really comfortable with that,” Carlyle said. “I think it’s as little too early to put [Maxime] Macenauer in that situation.”
