Update: With back-to-back games looming, it made sense for the Ducks to get a rare free day. There had to be some reward after scoring two power-play goals in the win against the Wild, right? The back-and-forth with Syracuse continued with still-suspended enforcer JF Jacques and forward Patrick Maroon going to the American Hockey League team on Friday. Meanwhile, Nashville made a small trade, sending center Cal O’Reilly to the Coyotes in exchange for a fourth-round pick in next year’s entry draft.
