Update: Talk about a terrific sense of timing. Finnish legend Jari Kurri, by coincidence, will be at the Ducks game Wednesday tonight. The trip had been scheduled before his countryman and friend Teemu Selanne passed him on the NHL’s all-time career scoring list on Monday at Colorado. That was not the only proud career moment for a Ducks player that night. Selanne’s teammate and countryman Saku Koivu, who started his career in Montreal, played in his 1,000th regular-season game. Kurri is the general manager for Team Finland and Finland is the host country for the upcoming world championships. A pregame ceremony will honor Koivu’s achievement and Selanne’s accomplishment. The three injured Ducks who did not play against the Avalanche — forwards Corey Perry and Nick Bonino and defenseman Luca Sbisa — are all considered questionable for Wednesday’s game, the Ducks said. Perry’s streak of 272 consecutive games played ended Monday because of his injured right shoulder.
