Share

When: 4

Where: Buck Shaw Stadium, San Jose.

On the air: TV: Galavision.

Records: Chivas USA 3-6, San Jose 7-2-1.

Record vs. San Jose: 2-0 (2011)

Update: Behind Chris Wondolowski’s 11 goals in 10 games, San Jose entered the weekend leading the MLS in scoring (21) and tied for the league lead in wins (7). And with three goals in his last five shots on target, Wondolowski has never been hotter, leaving him on pace to shatter Roy Lassiter’s 16-year-old MLS record of 27 goals in a season. On Sunday he’ll face a keeper in Chivas USA’s Dan Kennedy who entered the weekend second in the league in saves per game. Neither Kennedy nor Chivas has much to show for that, however, since last week’s stoppage-time loss to Chicago was their third loss in a row. Chivas has managed just one goal over that time and though Chivas started the week eighth in the Western Conference standings, its 3-1 road record was tied for second-best in the MLS.
