Watch Ndamukong Suh kick Matt Schaub in the groin

Share

Detroit Lions defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh’s reputation for being a dirty player was called into question again on Thanksgiving during a game against the Houston Texans.

Suh was rushing Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub when he was blocked and tripped over offensive lineman Derek Newton. As you can see in the video above, Suh kicked out at Schaub’s groin area as he fell to the ground.

But was it intentional? It’s hard to tell by watching the video, but Suh’s reputation makes it hard to believe otherwise.

Schaub doubled over after contact and, after the game, told reporters, “I don’t really have anything to say about that play or that person.”

CBS analyst Shannon Sharpe had no doubts however.

“This was intentional. You see the force? Look at the force with which he did that,” Sharpe said. “There’s a reason why he’s the two-time reigning, voted dirtiest player in the NFL by his peers, because of plays like this.”

Suh was fined by the Lions and suspended two games by the NFL after stomping on the Green Bay Packers’ Evan Dietrich-Smith during the 2011 Thanksgiving Day game.
