Matt Barkley and USC are heading to the home of the Super Bowl-champion New York Giants and the New York Jets.

Barkley, the Heisman Trophy frontrunner, leads USC against Syracuse on Saturday at MetLife Stadium.

“It’s a fun thing, especially to get some East Coast love,” Barkley said of the trip.
The Trojans, who have not done stadium walk-throughs under Coach Lane Kiffin, will do one on Friday.

“It will be awesome just to see what it’s like to play in an NFL stadium for the first time,” receiver Robert Woods said.

Receiver Marqise Lee is looking forward to getting onto the field.

“They’ve got the turf so it’s going to be really fast,” he said. “Just to have the chance to go out there and play in a stadium like that is amazing.”

Running back Silas Redd, the Penn State transfer, is looking forward to playing closer to his Connecticut home.

“It should be a fun, great atmosphere,” he said. “I’m a Giants fan so it will be nice to play in their home field.”
