Should Robert Griffin III’s dad be flagged for interference?

According to the Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole, Robert Griffin II has lobbied Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder to dump Coach Mike Shanahan in favor of Baylor Coach Art Briles, who coached RGIII for four seasons in college.

Last week, reasoning that the quarterback had absorbed too many hits already, Shanahan announced his decision to sit Griffin for the remainder of the season.

Cole also reported that the younger Griffin is known inside the Redskins for his stubbornness and unwillingness to accept criticism.

Citing two anonymous sources, the report references a moment in a recent game in which Griffin was off target on a throw that ended an offensive series, then went to the sideline to speak via radio to quarterback coach Matt LaFleur in the coaches’ box.

The report said LaFleur began explaining that part of the problem with the throw was Griffin’s poor footwork, and that Griffin grew impatient as the coach spoke, finally brushing off the critique with, “I just have to make that throw.”
