LeBron James’ blistering streak an NBA best
LeBron James is on quite a streak.
In Tuesday’s 117-104 win over Portland, the Miami Heat superstar became the first player in NBA history to score at least 30 points on an incredibly efficient 60%-or-better shooting in six straight games.
James, the reigning MVP, scored 30 points on 11-for-15 shooting (73%) against the Trailblazers.
“I’m at a loss for words,” he said after the game.
“Like I say over and over, I know the history of the game. I know how many unbelievable players who came through the ranks, who paved the way for me and my teammates. And, for me to be in the record books by myself with such a stat — any stat — it’s big time.”
According to the Heat, Adrian Dantley and Moses Malone held the record for the 30-point, 60%-shooting stat before James. They held up those numbers in five straight games.
