Up next for UCLA men’s basketball: Saturday at Colorado
UCLA AT COLORADO
When: 11 a.m. Where: Coors Event Center, Boulder.
On the air: TV: Pac-12 Networks; Radio: 570.
Records: UCLA 13-3, 3-0, Buffaloes 11-4, 1-2.
Update: Both teams have a quick turnaround after playing Thursday night, but this will be harder on the visiting Bruins. UCLA, which played Utah in Salt Lake City on Thursday, traveled Friday. Colorado has four players who average in double figures, led by guard Askia Booker, (14.7). The Buffaloes’ Andre Roberson leads the Pac-12 in rebounding. He is averaging 11.3 points and 11.8 rebounds. “He’s a real problem because he is such great rebounder, and he can also shoot the three and bounce it,” Howland said. “Booker is a real problem because he does so many things and plays with such freedom.” UCLA’s Norman Powell went to the locker room briefly during the game Thursday to “get stretched out,” Howland said. Powell went through the team walk-through Friday and will play.
