This week’s top high school football games

Friday

Sherman Oaks Notre Dame (4-1) at West Hills Chaminade (3-1), 7 p.m. (Fox Sports West Prep Zone): Notre Dame’s defense has shut down high-powered offenses belonging to Gardena Serra and Canyon Country Canyon, but Chaminade has great balance on an offense led by quarterback Brad Kaaya and running backs Donovan Lee and Cory Watkins. Running back Chris Colarossi will need a big game for Notre Dame. The pick: Chaminade.

Saturday

Concord De La Salle (5-0) vs. Anaheim Servite (3-1) at Santa Ana Stadium, 7:30 p.m.: The state’s No. 1 team, De La Salle, makes an early visit to Southern California. Legendary Coach Bob Ladouceur has stepped down as head coach to become an assistant coach, but the Spartans are as good as usual and are running the ball effectively behind running back John Velasco, who has gained 748 yards. Servite had a bye last week to get healthy and prepared. The pick: De La Salle.
