Kobe Bryant debuts Instagram video of first steps without boot
Kobe Bryant helped kick off the new Instagram video feature on Thursday with a peek at his first few steps after shedding his walking boot. Kobe posted:

The clip was shot on June 1. Bryant underwent surgery for a torn Achilles tendon on April 13.
The Lakers guard had hoped to make it back by opening night but recently suggested November or December may be more realistic.
Bryant was a slow adopter of social media, but over the past year he’s become a presence online.
Recently the NBA named Bryant “the Social MVP” as part of its 2013 Social Media Awards.
Instagram, a popular photo-based social network, released its new video feature Thursday, allowing for clips up to 15 seconds long.
