Jazz hand Spurs their first loss of season

George Hill scored 22 points and the Utah Jazz made a season-high 15 three-point shots, handing the San Antonio Spurs their first loss of the season, 106-91, on Tuesday night.

Rodney Hood had 19 points, Trey Lyles 15 and Shelvin Mack 14 for the visiting Jazz, who finished 15 for 31 from three-point range.

Kawhi Leonard led San Antonio with 30 points and LaMarcus Aldridge added 21.

Hill made four straight baskets starting with about six minutes left, scoring 10 points to give the Jazz a 96-88 lead with four minutes remaining.

Golden State 127, at Portland 104: Stephen Curry scored 23 of his 28 points in the third quarter and the Warriors built a 35-point lead in winning their third in a row. Ian Clark scored a career-high 22 points and Kevin Durant added 20 for Golden State. Damian Lillard had 31 points for the Trail Blazers.

at Cleveland 128, Houston 120: Kyrie Irving scored a season-high 32 points and the Cavaliers opened a season at 4-0 for the first time in 16 years. Kevin Love scored 24 points and LeBron James added 19 points and 13 rebounds for Cleveland. James Harden had 41 points and 15 assists for the Rockets.

Orlando 103, at Philadelphia 101: Serge Ibaka made two free throws with 1.4 seconds left to break a tie and the Magic overcame an 18-point deficit to win for the first time in four games this season.

at Miami 108, Sacramento 96 (OT): Goran Dragic scored 25 points and Tyler Johnson scored seven of his 22 in overtime for the Heat, who won their 15th in a row at home over the Kings.

Milwaukee 117, at New Orleans 113: Giannis Antetokounmpo capped a 24-point, 10-rebound performance with a pivotal three-point shot with 1:34 to go and the Bucks kept the Pelicans winless in four games. Anthony Davis scored 35 points and had 15 rebounds for New Orleans.

at Minnesota 116, Memphis 80: The Timberwolves won their first game of the season as Zach LaVine made five three-point baskets and scored 31 points.

at Detroit 102, New York 89: Tobias Harris scored 25 points and Marcus Morris added 22 for the Pistons, who won their third in a row.
