Update: The Sparks, in their second-to-last regular-season home game, play the Eastern Conference leaders. The Dream already have locked up a playoff berth despite losing six of their last eight games. Atlanta started the season hot, winning 15 of their first 20 games. The Dream lost their most recent game, 75-67, to Phoenix, the top team in the Western Conference. Meanwhile, the Sparks are tied for third place in the Western Conference and have five games left. The top four teams in each conference reach the playoffs. On Tuesday against Tulsa, the Sparks received huge efforts from Nneka Ogwumike (35 points) and Candace Parker (28 points) but were badly outscored in the paint, 60-32, and lost, 96-90.
