Tom Brady mocks Deflategate in a new Foot Locker commercial [Video]

Tom Brady has finally spoken his mind about Deflategate.

Well, technically, the New England Patriots quarterback has spoken his mind about Foot Locker’s Week of Greatness promotion.

And does it really count as speaking one’s mind if somebody else wrote the words?

In a funny new Foot Locker commercial that debuted Wednesday, Brady goes off on a random guy who questions how the footwear retailer can maintain its greatness for years on end.

“Just because something’s great year after year doesn’t mean anything’s going on,” Brady said. “Why can’t some things just be great?”

He’s not done. “It starts with questions and then questions turn into assumptions and assumptions turn into vacations,” Brady said. “So why would you punish the Week of Greatness for something that never happened?”

Pretty sure we can substitute “vacations” with “suspensions” — as in the four weeks without pay Brady had to take off earlier this season for his alleged involvement in the scandal — and “Week of Greatness” with “one of the greatest quarterbacks ever.”

Although Foot Locker wrote the spot for Brady, it probably felt good for him to get some of that off his chest.
