Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel was involved in a domestic dispute with his girlfriend this week that police say involved alcohol.

Manziel was pulled over by Avon, Ohio, police after a witness said a person was trying to jump from the quarterback’s speeding vehicle. Manziel admitted drinking before the incident, authorities said, adding charges were not filed.

Manziel spent 70 days in a Pennsylvania rehab facility during the off-season for treatment of an unspecified condition. The Browns said they are aware of the incident.

The former Heisman Trophy winner started and won one game for the Browns this season. He’s currently backing up starter Josh McCown.

Manziel made two starts last year during a turbulent rookie season.

Hyde fined, but Beason blames Boone

San Francisco running back Carlos Hyde has been fined $23,152 by the NFL for using the crown of his helmet to make contact with New York Giants linebacker Jon Beason.

Beason sustained a concussion on the play, although he blamed 49ers guard Alex Boone for causing that. Boone was not fined by the league and no penalty was called.

Beason ripped Boone on Friday after returning to practice for the first time since being knocked out of the nationally televised game on the opening series.

“It’s hard enough to stay healthy in this league,” said Beason, who missed the first two games of the season with a knee injury. “I think it was a coward move; didn’t show any sportsmanship or regard for another player or his career. It could have been a lot worse.”

Boone said he doesn’t believe he is a dirty player, adding he is sorry that Beason feels the way he does.

In other fines, Seattle defensive end Michael Bennett got a personal foul for knocking down and diving on Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton during a Seahawks interception return, and that cost Bennett $20,000.

Denver defensive end Malik was docked $17,363 for a horse-collar tackle against Oakland. Pittsburgh defensive end Cam Heyward was fined $5,787 for displaying a personal message with his eye black.

Luck may be out again

Colts quarterback Andrew Luck was listed as questionable Friday for Indianapolis’ showdown with New England on Sunday night.

The Colts said on Monday that Luck, who missed the last two games with a sore right shoulder, had returned to full participation at practice. But Luck only did limited work for the last three days.

If Luck doesn’t play this week, backup quarterback Matt Hasselbeck probably will make his third straight start after leading the Colts to wins over Houston last week and Jacksonville the week before.
