RAMS WHO MUST DELIVER…

Running back Todd Gurley. As the Rams begin the final quarter of the season, the second-year running back must finally step up his production and help the Rams control the ball and keep it out of the hands of Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan. The Falcons’ defense is No. 15 against the run.

Cornerback Mike Jordan. The undrafted free agent did an admirable job against the Patriots after E.J. Gaines suffered a quad injury. Now he’s on tape, however, and it’s certain that Ryan will go after the inexperienced player when not trying to beat Trumaine Johnson’s coverage of Julio Jones.

Receiver Kenny Britt. The eighth-year pro is enjoying a career season in the final year of his contract. Last week, he caught a 66-yard pass from Goff and then caught a touchdown pass a few plays later, but both plays came after the outcome of the game had been decided. If Britt wants to make a salary drive, he must come through in the season’s final four games. That means no drops.

FALCONS TO WATCH OUT FOR…

Linebacker Vic Beasley. The second-year pro from Clemson has 10½ sacks and has forced five fumbles. That is not good news for a Rams offensive line that could not keep pressure off rookie quarterback Jared Goff last week against the Patriots. Goff was sacked four times for 35 yards and was hit in the arm on a pass that resulted in an interception.

Running back Devonta Freeman. With so much attention focused on quarterback Matt Ryan and receiver Julio Jones, it’s easy to overlook that Freeman is third on the Falcons with 37 receptions, two for touchdowns. He also is averaging 4.5 yards per carry.

Tight end Austin Hooper. Receiver Mohamed Sanu is out because of a groin injury, and Jones’ turf-toe injury also is an issue, so Ryan might utilize Hooper more. He has 17 catches, two for touchdowns, and has averaged 15.1 yards per reception. Fellow tight end Levine Toilolo has averaged 20.8 yards per catch and has scored two touchdowns.
