Panthers LB Luke Kuechly suffers concussion vs. Jags
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly suffered a concussion late in the second quarter of Carolina’s game against Jacksonville and did not return to the game.
Kuechly, a two-time All Pro, was injured on a 7-yard pass to running back T.J. Yeldon when he attempted to tackle Yeldon. Kuechly led with his head on the tackle and appeared stunned moments after the hit. He eventually went to the ground.
Kuechly tried to get up but then fell down again before the trainers arrived.
Carolina led Jacksonville 10-9 at halftime.
Kuechly signed a five-year, $62 million contract extension with Carolina earlier in the week.
