Rams’ rookie running back Todd Gurley moved another day closer to making his NFL debut on Friday. But will it be Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers at the Edward Jones Dome?

“He’ll have him listed full participation all three days and we’ll have him listed as questionable, which implies there’s a 50-50 chance he’ll play and it’ll be a game-time decision. Really, really pleased with the progress this week,” Rams coach Jeff Fisher said after Friday’s workout at Rams Park. “Around the league, I think everybody would prefer not to tip your hand. That’s kind of where we are right now. But if he doesn’t go, he doesn’t go, and that will be a decision we make Sunday.”

Fisher continued: “The decision was made last week; it’s not made this week. I made the decision last week on Friday. But right now, honestly, it’s a game-time decision, so we’ll see how he is.

“We’ve seen the reps; that was our point the last couple of weeks was to get him back in the offense and running with the starters and he’s done so. The reps have been 50-50 between he and ‘Mase’ (Tre Mason) and, as a tribute to Benny (Cunningham), Benny doesn’t need a lot of reps.”

Gurley, the No. 10 overall pick in the draft last spring, has been working his way back after undergoing ACL surgery on his left knee last November that closed out his stellar three-year run at the University of Georgia. He, too, appears to be tiring of the same daily line of questioning.

“I’m just going out there and practicing and, like I’ve said, we’ll figure that out on Sunday,” the 21-year-old Gurley said. “I feel good.”

Do you feel 100 percent?

“I feel good,” he repeated. “I definitely want to be out there. When the time comes, it comes.”
