Update: This is the only regular-season game between these inter-conference rivals; the Galaxy won last year’s meeting, 4-0 at StubHub Center. The Galaxy is coming off back-to-back wins at home, including a 4-1 victory over Philadelphia a week ago. Galaxy forward Landon Donovan scored twice in that game to seize Major League Soccer’s career record with 136 goals. The Galaxy is still without defender Omar Gonzalez, who’s with the U.S. national team. Chicago returns home after a 2-0 to Columbus that snapped the Fire’s two-game winning streak.
