CHIVAS USA TONIGHT

AT NEW ENGLAND

When: 5 PDT.

Where: Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Mass.

On the air: TV: Prime Ticket.

Records: Chivas USA 7-10-6, Revolution 6-14-5.

Record vs. Revolution: First meeting.

Update: Chivas USA’s flickering playoff hopes — as well as its equally shaky confidence — took a huge hit in Saturday’s loss to Seattle, with Chivas givingup a franchise-record six goals. Wednesday’s game in New England is the second of three games for Chivas in a nine-day span. Chivas does have a couple of things working in its favor, though. First, the Revolution is 0-7-1 in its last eight games and with six wins overall, is one of only three MLS clubs with fewer victories this season than Chivas. Second, Chivas, which is flying cross-country for this one, is the only team in the league with more wins on the road than at home. The game will also mark a homecoming of sorts for Chivas midfielder Shalrie Joseph, who played 91/2 seasons with New England before coming west in a trade this month.
