Jose Canseco hopes finger can be saved after accidentally shooting hand
Former MLB slugger Jose Canseco took to social media Wednesday to share photos of his massively bandaged hand after he said he accidentally shot himself in his Las Vegas home on Tuesday.
Canseco had to undergo surgery on his hand after he shot his finger almost completely off while cleaning his gun at the kitchen table, Leila Knight, Canseco fiancée told the Los Angeles Times on Tuesday.
The injured digit is the middle finger of his left hand.
Doctors told the couple even if the finger is able to be saved, Canseco will never regain full use of that hand, Knight said.
The couple tweeted pictures of Canseco's recovery.
