Clippers Coach Doc Rivers ready to move on after loss to Suns
Sure, the Clippers may have lost by 19 points to the Phoenix Suns on Monday night, but Coach Doc Rivers wasn’t buying some of the questions from the media.
He wouldn’t buy in to it being a humbling loss to a Suns team that is the surprise of the NBA.
He wouldn’t buy in to it being an embracing loss.
In Rivers’ eyes, it was one of 82 games.
“We’ve done nothing. That’s the point I’ve been making all year,” Rivers said. “They don’t give a trophy out after 25 or 30 games. We’ve done nothing.
“Did we go to the [NBA] Finals last year? Did I miss something? This is all a process. You just keep going.”
The Clippers now have to turn their attention to playing Charlotte on New Year’s Day at Staples Center.
