Floyd Mayweather Jr. has admitted that his so-called reality show was basically one big lie. So the natural assumption to make is that everything the boxing superstar says is untrue, especially when he talks about his desire to fight Manny Pacquiao.

At least that’s the leap in logic Pacquiao seems to be taking.

On Tuesday, Mayweather testified to the Nevada State Athletic Commission that his Showtime “All Access” shows were staged just to promote his fight with Marcos Maidana earlier this month.

“It’s a new generation, a young generation,” Mayweather said during his testimony. “We believe in going outside boxing and doing something different. Because we did something different we got better pay-per-views this time around.”

The next day Pacquiao took to Twitter to take a jab at the man he may never actually meet in the ring.

@FloydMayweather’s testimony to the commission on All Access’ authenticity tells me everything I need to know about his desire to fight me,” Pacquiao tweeted Thursday.

Mayweather seemed to respond Friday morning, when he tweeted photos of Pacquiao writhing around on the mat after being knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez in 2012 with the caption, “....Miss Pac Man is broke and desperate for a pay day. Your Pay-Per-View numbers are a joke.”

Pacquiao, who is scheduled to fight Chris Agieri in November, has said that he would like to fight Mayweather in 2015. But Mayweather says he won’t work with Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum.

But then again, can we really believe anything Mayweather says anymore after he admitted that all those on-air joint-rolling parties and marathon boxing matches with no breaks at his gym weren’t real?

Well, apparently at least the Nevada boxing regulators can.

“You accomplished your goal,” Nevada State Athletic Commission Chairman Francisco Aguilar told Mayweather following his testimony. “I think you represented yourself well.”
