Clippers’ Blake Griffin named NBA Western Conference player of week
For the second time this season, Blake Griffin was named the Western Conference player of the week by the NBA.
Griffin averaged 26.0 points, 11.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists for the week that ended Sunday.
Griffin’s work helped the Clippers go 4-0 for the week. He shot 49% from the field and 87.5% (35 of 40) from the free-throw line.
He also won the award for the week of Nov. 11-17. Griffin leads the Clippers in scoring (20.9 points per game) and is second in rebounding (10.5) and assists (3.1).
