Watch Jimmy Carter and wife Rosalynn lock lips on Kiss Cam at Braves game
Former President Jimmy Carter is a huge Atlanta Braves fan, and he isn’t about to let something like brain cancer stop him from enjoying a night out at the ballpark.
Carter, 90, was on hand Thursday night to watch his Braves take on the Toronto Blue Jays. The 39th president and his wife, Rosalynn, have been regulars at Turner Field for many years now, so he knew just what to do when the stadium’s Kiss Cam focused directly on them.
What else? He planted a big one on her.
The Carters received an enthusiastic response from the crowd, who had little else to cheer about during the Braves’ 5-0 loss to the Blue Jays.
Carter announced last month he has melanoma that has spread to four spots in his brain. But he hasn’t let the disease or treatments keep him from his regular activities. That includes speaking at church on Sundays and holding his annual town hall meeting, along with his wife, at the Carter Center in Atlanta.
And, of course, watching the Braves in person.
