Peyton Manning stops throwing TDs (briefly) to answer wedding invite
Peyton Manning is a pretty busy guy, particularly during the fall and much of the time well into the winter.
It’s part of the job description for the Denver Broncos quarterback.
But that didn’t stop one bride-to-be named Anna from inviting the four-time NFL MVP to her wedding sometime in the recent or coming weeks.
And what’s even cooler than inviting a superstar to your wedding? Getting a response.
The bride’s brother posted a photo Tuesday on Reddit of the RSVP sent by Manning. The future Hall of Famer autographed the piece of paper and wrote, “Best wishes.”
Unfortunately for Anna and future husband James, however, Manning also checked the box marked “regretfully decline.”
Oh well. Can’t blame her for trying.
And it was awfully nice of Manning to take a moment away from throwing touchdown passes -- at last count, he has 41 this season, although Eric Decker may have gotten open in the end zone a few more times in the last minute or two -- to even respond.
