Watch middle school football team use ‘Ugly Kardashian’ trick play

Share

The Kardashian family must be really popular with students at Lewis and Clark Middle School in Jefferson City, Mo. They used a trick play called “The Ugly Kardashian” to score a touchdown against their opponents in a game over the weekend.

And yes, if you’ve seen the movie “Little Giants,” they got their inspiration from a trick play “The Annexation of Puerto Rico” used in that movie.

In the first play from scrimmage in the game, Lewis and Clark quarterback starts yelling that they are using the wrong game ball. The center hikes the ball to him, and the QB holds it up and walks toward an official on field, saying the ball is the wrong one. As soon as he gets past the defense, he runs for a touchdown.

All perfectly legal.

Lewis and Clark Coach Shawn Griggs was proud of himself afterward, saying that his players loved “The Ugly Kardashian” name.

“When I said it the first time in the huddle [my players] wouldn’t stop laughing,” Griggs said. “I threatened to change the name of it because they would laugh every time I said it.”

Yep, there’s nothing more rewarding as an adult that tricking a bunch of 12-year-olds who are just learning the intricacies of football. Well done, sir.

You can watch it all in the video above.
